Rear wing removal mk2

As per title really. How the hell do they come off?

It's quite well explained in haynes.

There are a series of bolts all the way down the bootlid on both sides, I can't remember how many. I don't remember there being any hidden ones. After that it just pulls off with a bit of help, there's some sealant/glue that keeps it in place and stops leaks.

Three (or four) bolts down either side and one at the end closest to the roof. Fairly easy job but watch out once it's off as if your struts are still any good you'll brain yourself if you're not careful as the boot flies up.

You didn't clarify whether you meant rear wing or spoiler (which is what I assumed). I think you would need an angle grinder to remove the rear wing as it's integral to the bodyshell.
