Well here we are on the new forum!
Looking very sweet indeed, I suppose we best get my car looking that way too :ok:

Plumbing is just about complete on the car with new fuel lines to be run and the electrics to be done.
Pics to follow

Got an issue with my oil cooler.. The oil filter housing is that of an early mk1 golf/scirocco and not the later with the sandwich plate so I need to source the correct fittings etc to get it plumbed in. I think I will make that my last job to do :)

Not much else to report other than my garage is less full than 2 months ago where things are with the car 8-)

Watch this space peeps

Been tinkering and re-homing the scirocco into a workshop!

Latest update is the fuel lines running under the car have been fitted..
All the coolant work is in place.
Electrics next and the oil cooler then we shall see what happens firing it up :D

Also been working on my brakes and working out how this spacer kit goes together...

Pics say a thousand words

Hope the pic makes sense.. This is more for Slugga's benefit as we have both been head scratching over this lol

Page 12 latest pics on Photobucket show the engine bay in pretty much a complete install, small tidy bits to do but nothing more really :yahoo:

little update on the wheels front, they were hitting the struts on the inside as the ET/OFFSET whatever was bad, 4x100 fitment but not from the vag circuit..

Spaced out baby  16mm each side on the front and 25mm each side at the rear and the tyres are STILL TUCKED! :groove:

Till the next time :groove:

Good news all round.. literally... Coilovers are coming so I will be selling my never used, brand new -25mm Weitec GT suspension!!

The car is on the ground and rolling and a few finishing touches in the bay have been done like recovering old cable sleeves and fitting the dipstick and re-routing of things im not happy with..

I have gone round the car picking out the problem areas that need attention and I am amazed how much I found! Obviously the 18 months has been hard for the old girl but have no fear.. She will be dancing next spring in her new coat and shoes!!! :beers: :groove:

I have decided my colour although it may come as a bit of an anticlimax cosidering what i was planning to do..

She is looking mighty fine and the next pics will be of her with the odd bit of primer and rubbed down paint.. :thankyou:

Started to go backwards with the car now :crying:
Stripping her down ready for paint... Thinking of a few nice touches to add some spice which will hopefully go down well with the masses! :vcool:

Coilovers on! Much better but the wheels now rub the arches when turning, scrapping the idea and going for something else, cutting up bodywork was not on the list! :focus:

More rubbing down and hole welding has been done. check out the photobucket link for the latest! Cheers. :groove:

With any luck I will be painting by the end of the month :yahoo:

Why don't you just go for 15" rims? The tyres on your 16"s look like they're too high profile to me, so maybe a lower-profile tyre would help if you want to keep those rims.
