Calipers and pads problem

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone could help.

My pads rattle in the calipers. They seem to be in place fine, but there is quite a bit of movement. I can pretty much rattle them. It makes a really unpleasant noise when going over mildly uneven roads. Does anyone have a diagram of the caliper and its bits, are mine missing retaining clips?

Hi Andy,

I have had this same problem before and i noticed it was missing the thin anti rattle clips on my rocco which can be missing after new pads have been fitted.

They are just thin pieces of metal which locate between the pads and carrier top and bottom of the pad location lugs.

Have a look at your calipers to see if they are missing on your car.If so i have some spare if needed.
