Hi all. I'm curious to know what options are available to improve the brakes on my Mk2 Scala? Currently running stock and well serviced, and whilst fairly adequate I would appreciate any practical advise on improvement. Much appreciated!

The easiest is (I've done it to 4 cars) Is to fit a 22MM master cylinder from a MK2 golf 16V
You also need to fit the corrisponding servo and master cylinder reservoir form a 16V golf. The master cylider and servos are avilable new. The reservoir are not. Unless you can find a good used one, there is the option of fitting a remote reservoir with pipes to the cylinder.
Worth checking all linkages from the peddle are in good order and no free play
The above mod gives more feel and braking confidence, If you want anything better your looking at larger discs calipers...........

also add some stainless flexis to help prevent bulging of hoses giving spongey pedals :good:
i have used a mk3 servo and master cylinder from a gti golf on my thread crusty rusty rocket
you will have everything you need then but you will have to cut the fitting off the back of the servo where it fits the golf brake pedal and run a die down it to cut a thread for the clevis to fit a rocco pedal
lots have done this mod so can confidently say its pretty safe mod
