OffSide CV boot has split and searching for a replacement has thrown up so many variations of boot diameter.

1.8 Scala DX injection, 5 speed 1990.

Even VW Heritage comes up with different options and references the DX engine and 'from' VIN number references

I don't even really need the part number, just the correct dimensions.

The part number for the outer CV joint boot kit on all 1990 models onwards (10th character of the VIN "L" or higher) is 321498203A. This part was progressively introduced to the range from part way through the 1984 model year, I would guess starting with the 16V engine, and I would think, from the limited information in the parts diagrams, reaching all 1.8 engine versions part way through the 1988 model year
