pays to shop around

as per the title ive never been loyal and stuck to any insurer as year by year the prices keep going up with no actual reason for it,
this year however takes the biscuit!
year before lasts premium was £600 for two motors on a multicar policy, this dropped by £50 in the form of a refund when i moved house last year to an evidently better area
this was short lived when three months later was hit with a £700 renewal
so got onto the phone and apparently "because i moved" this is the reason the price went up....
i questioned it some more highlighting that the price dropped because of the house move so why has it now gone up???? and even raised an official complaint only to be met with "we cant tell you due to complex and sensitive business reasons" erm ok
so ended up paying it as i needed the rocco asap for a tour of Nederland's and Germany so
now ive moved again into a permanent gaff to which the insurance typically went up again by £30 after telling them the new address in november, so you can imagine how i was feeling trepidation when the renewal letter hit my door mat
£1245
so onto the phone i go to no avail so instead have been shopping around
it seems many insurers now dont want to touch roccos that arent stored in a garage full stop, which to some degree i can understand but when the car in question is locked on your drive behind other motors under covers with the battery and bits removed making it imposible to steal youd think would count for something???
well luckily adrian flux came to the rescue with a quote for both cars at £400 happy days
so if deffo pays to shop around and if you do have a garage, put the car in it
