The dreaded dash

Hello! New user here.
I got my hands on a nice 1990 Scirocco the other week. It has some electrical problems that I'm currently working on, so while I've got the dashboard out I thought I'd look into repairing the cracks. I was wondering if anyone has tried the dashboard skin found on eBay?

It seems it might be a good alternative than trying to reskin the thing myself.
