1987 Scirocco GTX in Helios Blue.1987 model year GTX with body kit removed in 2014 when car resprayed at Rust Republic.
The heart of the car…
BRM 152 (BHP) 2-Litre 8v- 1984cc, Audi crank, Schrick cam, Mahle pistons, uprated clutch,fully gasflowed, balanced etc etc. Neuspeed TB, K&N Filter, Rolling roaded twice in period- showed 136-138 bhp at the wheels on BRM rollers which were generally assumed to have a 15% correctional. BRM engine conversion completed at 30k miles in Summer 1991 - engine now at 98k. Head off inspection in 2018, G60 head gasket fitted at this point.
Featured in VW Audi car mag in October 1990.

Reproduction BRM number plates in period font and with original 0926 Leamington Spa STD phone code.
A20 GTX plate will go with the car if it sells for £4,500. I reserve right to retain if less than that figure.

Car is a 2005 reshell of a car I originally bought in 1989.
Most of the mods were completed during 1990-1992 at BRMotorsport.
After the reshell the car has subsequently been maintained almost exclusively at the Phirm.
Painted at Rust Republic in 2014 - paint has held up well, could do with a slight mop in a couple of spots (just never got chance to do it) and has picked up a few stone chips through being used.
Needing attention.
Small patch of rust coming through at rear edge of nsf wing.
If I was keeping the car I would refurbish and powder coat the under car Autotech hardwear.
Sunroof - tilt works but I never use the slide function.
