please help,,my functions on steering wheel stopped working,but no lights on dash atall,(no even airbag light) took to 1st garage they told me clock spring,then took to vw they also told me new clock spring but couldnt get new clock spring for 2 to 4 weeks as they havent any in stock,but car was due mot,so cannot pass due to no horn,so i managed to source a refurbed genuine vw part exact same code,been fitted but nothing still working and air bag light is on ? can someone please tell me if all will work if it gets programmed in??? cos i thought horn would work straight away??? or does that need to be programmed in aswelk?? go easy on me please,,,

This should have been posted in the 'Electrical' section lower down where it will be more likely to be picked up.
I am assuming your car is a Mk3, due to airbag reference. Most people on here are more familiar with the Mk1 and Mk2 models so maybe you will not get much response. I would suggest you source a specialist auto electrics technician who will probably have some knowledge of more modern VWs

You may just need to clear the fault code. You could try a cheap code reader from Amazon/Ebay. If you're on Facebook there's a huge mk3 Scirocco Owners group on there -https://www.facebook.com/groups/763728790370975
Also, check the fuse if you haven't done so already.
