Scirocco Register

Hello, after removing my passenger side door card yesterday I'm pretty convinced it's been bodged around at some point, especially near the speaker wiring corner - it's got the outer black mastic seal I'd expect to see but no plastic there.

I know what the Corrado one looks like and aspects of the Scirocco one are similar but ideally a photo of an original install would be really helpful!

I have had a search but alas the images on the older posts have vanished into the internet.

It does look from the picture on your Mk2 Scirocco thread that your door liner has been hacked about a bit, especially in the door lock and speaker areas.

Brilliant, that's just what I was after.

No idea quite why it's so hacked around, cars only done 61k with 5 owners. Looks like someone has tried to sort out a leak rather badly.

Best get some membrane material ordered as I expect the drivers is the same. Luckily it's got all the black screw cap covers bar one and I have a stash for the Corrado so can spare one!
