Was just in the garage looking for some bits, when I was moved by the lovely view [emoji3059][emoji2956][emoji7]
I know it's surprising how a couple of G&T's cat affect your judgement Image

Top view! Sunny weekend ahead now, too, at least here in the MIdlands, hope in Wales, too.

Nothing wrong with a G&T or a cat for that matter.

What do you people think about new (3d generation) Scirocco? I think the exterior is so universal and averaged, it has nothing in common with the classic models and so it doesn't even worth considering. Does anyone like it/have it? What are your thoughts?

It depends what you want - ultimate refinement achieved through advanced computer aided design or an iconic design by passionate engineers from the pre-digital age.

Comparing the Mk3 Scirocco to the Mk1/2 doesn't really make sense. Unlike the Beetle, the Mini and the Fiat 500, when VW reintroduced the Scirocco name, they weren't trying to create a cute rework of the classic design, but a sports car in its own right. In the same way as the Mk1 Scirocco was a radical departure style-wise from the Mk1 Golf on which it was based, so the Scirocco Mk3 is radically different in appearance from the Golf V on which it was based.

I had the opportunity to experience a Mk3 soon after it was launched as a courtesy car while my Caddy van was in for a service and clearly remember being thrilled with the interior feel, performance, handling and ride, a nice change from the usual T5 van, Polo or Passat CC.
