Arguably one of the best Mk1's left. I bought this car from Edmundator here back in February with grand plans to use it regularly.
Life has transpired against this, mainly a new job, and it's not getting the use it should do to justify ownership (I've literally done 3 trips in it in 5 months). Adding in a forthcoming house extension needing cash and it makes sense to sell it and let someone else use it.
I'll add a more detailed description later this week but key points are:
3 owners from new
Only 84,000 miles
Dry stored from late 80's until 2 yrs ago
Pumped full of Waxoyl by the main owner (1984 - 2016) which has pretty much halted the usual corrosion.
New belts, fluids, tyres, front shocks and battery as refresh following storage
It's not a show car but I think you'd be hard placed to find a better original one. The only noticeable fault is the headlining has shrunk by the sunroof so drops a bit but that can easily be stuck in place rather than needing replacement.
The car has been on the Scirocco Register stand at the NEC previously and also featured in Practical Classic Magazine (see pictures)
I've created a Flickr album from the photos I've taken of it, and those from the previous advert I bought it from - https://flic.kr/s/aHsmEaKa3C
Also comes with Front and Rear Kamei Spoilers in the price, and rear seat belts (not fitted yet) and rear mudflaps.
