Missing engine mount stud - will a M10 bolt suffice?

Evening all - further to major auto box surgery on my 88 Scala (swapping in a replacement box) I'm taking the opportunity to renew all the engine / box mounts while I'm in there. Coming to fit the N/S engine mount bracket to the replacement box, noticed that one of the lower studs is missing.
I've crudely measured the depth of where the stud should be and length of the stud protrusion on the old box and it comes to c.65mm - so I've been looking for a replacement stud M10x65 however these seem to not be referenced against any VWs as far as I can tell. Closest is a part N0145251 - which is M10x85 and Heritage have them - so, I am suspecting there may be c.20mm of sheared stud lurking perhaps?
My question is, could I just use a M10x65 bolt to do the job - or does anyone know the spec / partno of a replacement stud (I cannot find one refereced anywhere though).
TIA
Rob
