Larger Radiator- Fan Cowling

I'm mid head gasket job at the moment after a burst coolant pipe. Along with getting the head skimmed and refurbed and replacing all the rubber I can, I ordered a new radiator. Annoyingly one of the mounting bolts snapped and in a twist of fate I stupidly ordered the 525mm radiator (my 1.8 Carb EX had a 430mm) so actually that problem solved itself. The new rad fits fine but the fan cowling obviously doesn't reach all the way across to the mounting points.

Can someone point me in the direction of a solution, either the right fan cowling, or a slimline fan solution which does away with the cowling or a way to extend the mounting points?

Also can someone confirm which temperature sensors I need for the housing on the head. The old ones were red, white and black but the ones I got from gsf were black and blue. The new ones have dimples but only the old black one has a dimple. The other two old ones are flat.

Also search Mk1 golf, Mk1 Golf cabriolet as I think they had the same cowl.

I think I have a large radiator cowl that I no longer need.
PM me your email address and I will send you a picture later this week.
