Scirocco Register

My GTII parcel shelf was replaced with a horribly heavy inch thick MDF sheet with some tights stretched over it and two 6x9 holes. Anyone know where to get hold of a cheap replacement shelf/a good material to adapt? Does a mk1 golf shelf fit?

Does the parcel shelf have a part number- I couldn't find interior bits like that on OEMEPC.

(The other part I was looking for was a rear speaker holder cup thingy, again wasn't on OEMEPC, but mine is missing one)

Golf rear parcel shelf is different to Mk2 Scirocco, you need a Mk2 Scirocco shelf. I don't think you can buy them new anymore so might be worth posting up a wanted ad or ask in anyone breaking a car.

Found a shelf here but it has speakers in it... you could remove the speakers fill the holes and re cover the shelf?

What material is the original shelf made from? I reckon I could knock one together out of something similar

It's a similar material to your floor carpet but I'm not 100% sure....

parcel shelf is made of a fibre board/mdf style wood. easy to reproduce, just undo the tubes on the underside, remove the carpet and use the old one as a template, bit of black paint on underside and some acoustic carpet on top and jobs a fish.
