Cruise control.

Hello people,
Is there anybody out there who has an original cruise contro in his or her car ?
If so could you make me a bunch of pictures how it is placed in the engine bay, being vacuum pumo, brackets cables and so on.

I've got a late 90s aftermarket kit lying about, not yet got around to fitting it. Unfortunately not a lot of help to Joost.

Hi all,
I didn`t know that `roccos ever came with cruise control and I have had them for 22 years--I know that the Haynes manual shows some reference to it in the wiring diagram but I don`t know how it works as there are no speed sensors fitted to the hubs. It would be usefull to add to the electric PAS I have fitted to current one, which would reduce assistance as speed increases. Any idea how system works--not found any tech ref online.

Speed signal is taken from the instrument panel, behind the speedometer there is a sensor which is also used for the MFA

I wonder if that could be used on the PAS system to lower the assistance at speed--need to dig my scope out and have a gander at the signal to see if it will be usefull (40+ years as an electronics engineer may become handy) Been mulling this over for a while to decrease PAS as speed increases to give more feel to system

There are devices which can be placed in the speed cables which give of a signal.
I have one of those I think but have no idea what it does.
Will check for the part numbern and see what it is exactly.

Cheers Joost,
been wanting to take Power assistance to a lower value at speed to give more feel. If you have assistance for parking then it is too much for normal driving as I like a heavier feel at speed especially when giving the car an italian tune up service as I do on a regular basis in my Gold diesel.
