Garage find 83/84 GL

I got this the other week, it's an 84 GL but more likely a late registered 83 as it's a 1.6 and single wiper. It's been in a garage for nearly 18 years has covered 67k with full service history and every mot certificate it even came with the original manual and warranty certificate for the push button stereo which still works. The things that I've found wrong with it so far are the fuel lines are shot, broken rear spring, bit of a hole in outer drivers sill, rear valance has a bit of rust, horn doesn't work, passenger door has some rust and paintwork is a bit rough with a few scabs here and there but is surprisingly solid underneath and the interior is near perfect just wants a clean.

Forgot to mention it runs perfect, I connected a Jerry can up to it and as soon as it hit the carb it fired straight up, idled perfect and revved up without hesitation or flat spots. Makes me wonder why it got put in a garage and left for so long. Might take a while before I get round to sorting it out as I've another 6 projects to finish first lol.

Colour looks like Champagne and interior looks like burgundy

I had the identical car back in 1988 and again in 2010 (but 1.8 twin wiper this time)

Love that combo, quite jealous.........................

Enjoy!!!

Loving that interior. Very retro and should clean up nicely!
