Car Parks and MORONS

Hi all,
just got back from our local Aldi store with a near empty car park and was amazed at the 2 idiots parked either side of my rocco. A burning question I must ask is WHY with a near empty car park these idiots have to park either side of my car when there is about 50-60 spaces elsewhere to park. What is the mental process going through their little brains that they have to park their people carrier and 4x4 either side of my classic car and risk dinging it with their doors.
I left a message on their winscreens alomg the lines of "I know we are leaving the EU but my car doesn`t need a German companion while it`s parked you bloxxy moron.Try parking else where in this empty car park !!"
I allways try to park well away from other cars with my Golf and Rocco but everytime I come back to either car some idiot has parked up the side of them.
I am fed up with dings especially on the Golf caused by these morons--Rant Over
By the way I am getting some stickers printed with a ruder version of what I put on the `screen this morning and make thes people think and also they will have more trouble removing them.
Best wishes
Gerry

I know the feeling - not with the Scirocco but whenever I have a new car it's like a magnet for dickheads.
Just be careful where you place the sticker - make sure it's out of the "MOT" area...

I park my Mk1 Scirocco far away as possible with the the white line of the parking bay in the middle of car so I take up 2 spaces.

I find that if I use my old Volvo 940 estate that I keep primarily for winter driving and trips to the tip no harm ever befalls it, even parked in some of the dodgiest city car parks. However, if I take one of my cherished classics anywhere it always acquires some new damage. Murphy’s Law I’m afraid.

Haha i know the feeling only 2 well. I found 2 other classics the other day and parked between them knowing I would be safe. Came back to a note on the windscreen saying good call haha.

Parked as far away from the sports direct shop as possible with a million spaces in the car park (which was on a slight incline).. silly woman parks right in front of the car (in a space in front) and leaves her kids inside while putting bags in.. the kids take the handbrake off and it rolled back straight into the front bumper. Was absolutely furious and still bent a little to this day.

Left mine in Sainsbury's some years ago to go shopping, when I returned found a trolley embedded in the wing. I now make sure I'm parked at the highest point if it's on a slope.

Hi Scrumpysam,I am a little wary parking my Golf on a slope--handbrakes on MK4s and A4 Audi`s have a habit of letting go and car rolling away. The youngest one had an A4 estate which he found embedded in the side of a bus after the rear discs had cooled down and the car wasn`t where he left it outside shop he visited. It teaches you to allways leave them in gear just in case your tow hitch desides to impale itself in the front of someones car.It doesn`t happen on our rocco as the rears are drum--sometimes they catch me out--brakes are crap in comparison to my MK4--entertaining!!

I know what you mean.. glad you left a message, let's hope they take a note. I hate having those transformer vehicles parked near me because when little Tarquin opens the door they have no care in the world are quite happy to bang the door into our cars and leave it. The saddest part is that these people with the bigger can't drive them, let alone park them!!

Slightly off topic, but another gripe of mine is when I'm waiting to turn left out of a junction & a bloody great 4x4 pulls alongside completely blocking my vision.

Yes I hate that as well, happens on my way home most days when I'm trying to go straight over a horrible cross road on the brow of a hill on a bend so not easy to see on a good day! ....

Another problem in a coupe is tall grass on the triangular traffic separaters leading up to a roundabout.

No the A37 bit is fine, it's the other side of Street just after Street YHA hut, near Berhill and crossing the B3151 towards Coombe Hill Woods. Lovely drive through the woods if you ever go that way?
