Scirocco Register

Hi everyone,

I guess I'm probably not the first person to ask this, but I've bought an ABF with twin45's for my Mk2. I've heard that there is no pre-manufactured exhaust manifold for this set up. I have however spotted this one on E-bay and was wondering if anyone on here might be able to verify whether or not this looks like it was taken from a Scirocco?

Another option I'm wondering about would be to try and modify one of these:-

I bought one from vw heritage and it still sits close to the uj, check my build out

The first is similar but its all down to the angles as it goes under the car

I have the Heritage one too but there are copies on ebay for half the price.

The one in your first link is mighty similar.

Whatever you get, expect to have to modify it slightly and to wrap it.

Techtonics Tuning in the US do a downpipe kit that fits onto a mk2/3 Golf exhaust manifold. I have an ABF manifold and a downpipe flange if you wanted to get someone to build you one.

i made my own from abf manifold and downpipe flexi but after that its custom going into rocco downpipes collector.

i had to weld a lambda boss into mine for the abf management

I'm not doing any engine conversions but changed the downipe on the Scirocco recently and compared it to my Mk2 golf and there's definately a difference. If your going to be modifying try the pipe above.

Has to be a 16v manifold, the 8v ones are too small a bore and wrong spacing as the 8v inlet is also on the back of the head

Thanks, this is really useful. I've just had a good look at your 4-2-1. I can see why you needed to wrap it. I believe this is generally a good move for performance benefits too.

Thank you! It's good to know there are alternative ones on ebay. I might come back to you regarding the ABF manifold and flange as there is a local man, who makes full systems near here. Cheers!

This is interesting. I can weld, so I might be able to frankenstein something in my garage. I'm running carbs, so it should be a bit easier for me. Thanks!
