I need to replace a wire that goes from the ignition switch to the fuse board. does anyone know where you can get the oem style terminals that will clip straight into the original blocks. The ones i'm after are on the blue connector on the fuse board and one of the larger terminals on the ignition switch.

Would it not be simpler to re-pin your current connectors

But if you're rewiring the whole car and don't have any of the connectors, you could just buy an old loom -

The link to ebay is just for a connector, you need to ask for what you want...
Try here.

I'm sure I've seen them for sale some where but can't seem to find them. Have a search under Mk1 Golf as well...

Yeah that’s what I mean. Just need new pins for the connectors. Just said it in a round about way.
A wire burn out and I’m repacing it. Already run it through the vehicle, just need to put it into the connector each end. I did a temporary fix a little while ago and now want to put it right.
Here is the Ignition switch end so you know what I’m on about, just had enough last time to soldier some wire to (3 core flex was all I had at the time and got me out of a hole)

Ah right, Yeah I believe car builder solutions will have the right pins. I believe the blue connector is female bullets rather than male? and the ignition connector are a blade style?
If not you can just get old connectors and de-pin them

Thanks unknownmale. i did wonder if the switch end would just a standard spade type. Looks the right size, ill give it a go at the weekend. Are there different sizes of the bullets or are they standard?
Did think about getting a donor switch and swapping over the one i want. I'll order some bits off car builder and see what turns up.

No worries, I'm not sure to be honest, i'd measure them to be sure, uk.rs-online.com are another good resource incase CBS don't have what you need.

The terminals which arived were too small in the end so the hunt continued. Found my way to brickwerks in the end who listed some which might do the job. Ive ordered a handful so fingers crossed. They might be somewhere to remember because although they specialise in T3's, alot of bits swap over.
