willwood pull type cylinder on 020 box?

Post by Yolandi2 »

hi, thinking of trying to convert the cable operated clutch to hydraulic, fitting a master cylinder doesn't look difficult and retrofication actually sell a kit for that end of the system but i cant find any info on fitting a pull type slave cylinder to the gearbox end

has anyone attempted this before or maybe can point me towards where i could find some stuff out about it?

better to get the gearbox setup from an audi a3 1.6 because it has exactly what you need

even looks very familiar doesn't it :vcool:

ive never tried it but i reckon it should work

That’s an 02k box - as found on most 1.6 cars from that era - mk4 Golf etc

The only problem is that it’s shorter than an 020 and will need a custom mount (or mounts) fabricating.

couldn't the end casing be swapped to a rocco o2o box?
the middle casing looks identical to a rocco box and even has the casting for the cable
i would have thought making an end mount piece to fit into the rocco mount wouldn't be hard to do
