Just sourced a dash for my car, crack free and original. What's good to feed the dash to keep it crack free apart from sunlight!

I think it's mostly to do with the dashboard remaining in a more-or-less constant humidity during storage. The best dashboards I've seen have always been on cars that have been garaged for their whole lives. The dash on my GLi is totally crack-free, for this reason. Obviously, keeping it out of too much strong sunlight is a good idea (probably not too difficult in Belfast...).

I don't think the vinyl coating is particularly absorbent, so I don't see how you could really "feed" it with anything.
