Scirocco Register

There is a small welded-on bracket attached to the underside of the car that the rear brake hoses connect to.

These brackets have a small hole in them that a wire hook latched onto that supports the handbrake cable.

What is the part number for this?

None of the numbers showing in ETKA in the rear axle or brake drum diagrams are the right part.

No. It's made out of the same wire, but is a different shape - more of an 'S' shape, with the top fitting into the hole and the cable being held at the bottom.

Mine are original, but have seen better days. I bet at this age they are missing from a lot of cars.

The 16v rear disc brake cars had a better solution - a plastic clamp (part 191 609 657) that is hung from another plastic clip ( part 811611797), but I do not know what part of the body it fits to. My car is 1.6 carburettor GT.
