Can someone in really basic terms, tell me where the temperature gauge sensor for the dashboard gauge is located on a gt 2 engine. Like myself the manual is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Thanks in advance , john. PS is it in the coolant/water flange on the front of the engine.

yes mate in the water outlet flange on the front of the head.
from memory i think its the red or black plug sensor but i cant remember.
if you can find out which one is for the temp sender unplug it and stick a bit of wire linking the terminals and the dash gauge should go right to the top of the scale this will prove the sensor is faulty. if it dont you either have:-
1. an issue with the earth
2. an issue with the live feed from the dash
3. an issue with the clocks themselves.

also check the fuse box incase one has blown as that could cause this problem.

Thanks for the info James. From searching the internet i think it's the black one on the bottom, unfortunately. Will take it off when it's less frosty outside and test it. Hopefully it's the sender. Thanks again. John.
