Scirocco Register

My car is up for sale in the appropriate section, so rather than repeat myself please have a look there for a description.

What I am after is some advice on whether or not I have pitched the car at too high a price. I have gone for a figure that seemed reasonable to me and might interest the serious buyer. I also appreciate that I am not going to get back the money that has been spent on her over the years. I don't want to give the car away and would prefer to see it go to an enthusiast.

I do like the Scirocco and driving it to and from the MOT station reminded me of how much fun it is to drive. Unfortunately circumstances change and putting her back into daily use for me is not one of my options.

The car has been advertised on a few sites and I have had plenty of views but not a lot of response except for a few really silly offers.

So what do people think - am I asking too much?

at the end of the day if someone wants it they will make a cheeky bid for it by pm.
i personally think the price is a little high given there`s no MOT and it needs work but thats not to say someone keen out there may want exactly what you have and as an enthusiast pay what you want because lets face it there arnt many cheap roccos about anymore.
i hope you achieve a good sale all the same.

I'd have thought somewhere closer to £500.

Thanks for the responses, much appreciated. It is quite difficult to price as there are not many for sale and prices do seem to vary quite widely.

i would stick to your current price and if someone makes you a reasonable offer then its up to you.
if it doesnt sell then reconsider dropping the price.
it all depends on how badly you want a sale.
if i were you it would be worth getting it roadworthy with a fresh MOT on it which will spark more interest and more likely achieve your price
