seem to sell the complete setup for not a lot of money

When you consider how basic they are and that they're steel the price seems fair. As far a know only the front lower really makes a difference. When I fitted my lower one in was night and day different. When I fitted my top one nothing changed. I can't remember what engine you have but my upper front didn't fit with a 2litre engine.

You can make the front lower one from some box section with some holes drilled in it too if your on a budget.

i can see your point, its just ive just never seen all three sold as a package like that before.
i bought a lower brace from treefingers last year and still havent got round to fitting it.
i must do that someday.

I bought a rear ally one from eBay a while back, made no noticeable difference and the finish isn't the best. I'd stick to front lower, front upper fans rear for looks.

i got a brandnew OMP set of strut braces (Front Lower, Front Upper and Rear Upper) for £99 of e bay bout 18 months ago. Packaging stated fitment was MK1 Golf, only issue was clearance on Front Upper but no problem.

I fitted a lower one to my 85 GTS a few years ago. It definitely tightened the handling up.
