Re building the 1.8 ex engine in my mk2 this weekend, Didn't get any new conrod bolts, didn't think they were stretch bolts but just checking. Can anyone confirm?

This from a website that sells them -
"These bolts secure the end caps onto the connecting rod, to secure them to the crankshaft. Recommended to be replaced any time they are removed as they are torque-to-yield hardware. Torque-to-yield bolts are intended for one-time use only, and must be replaced to ensure proper clamping due to the bolts ability to stretch for tightening"

Do not re-use as they are torqued then add 90 degrees so stretch.
i got some good quality ones with nuts on evil bay for not a lot or use GSF discount code at the weekend they always do one at 40-45% off.

ecstuning.com or urotuning.com - both in the States. Given that they're $10 each I reckon with shipping, VAT & possible duty you'll be lucky to get change from £100.
Have you tried a dealer here?

Tried a couple yeah, I'll get them from Germany if I have no luck, few sites there that have them. My uncle is a Febi dealer and said they discontinued the bolts, but not the nuts strangely
