Wonky Donkey steering wheel!

So my steering wheel likes to sit drunk where hands would be almost at 12-4 instead of 10-2 whilst driving but when I park up the wheels are straight and the steering wheel is straight too! Whats that all about?

Mot didnt pick up anything other than a steering rack boot needed changing. Should I first get wheel alignment done and be sure thats ok along with the tracking?

Cheers

Yes. Are your tyres the same on the front axle? My Storm had a wonky steering wheel when I got it and as soon as I put a matching pair of tyres on the front it was straight again (without checking tracking etc).

No, I don't mean the same size, I mean the same tread pattern. Mine were both the right size, but different brands of tyre.

unequal tyre pressure and camber can cause this too.
hopefully getting the tracking checked might also be able to tell you something

Get a proper alignment done not just 4 wheel tracking. somewhere with a Hunter hawkeye can set tracking and camber, makes a huge difference.
