Re: New exhausts for Mk2
i had a lot of issues fitting the jetex exhaust as the bend over the rear beam wasn't quite right plus the center box kept knocking into the floor.
in the end i cut the middle box out and now have a straight through pipe and back box which works nicely.
if i could do it again though i would have a standard one made up from stainless steel.
there`s quite a few company`s popping up offering lifetime warranty exhausts on custom exhausts.
apparently there not much more than a jetex exhaust fitted

Can't say I was too impressed with my Jetex exhaust either, as well as being a bit fiddly the tailpipe fell off after about 18 months...it's somewhere in the roadworks on the A1 near Newcastle.
I agree about the centre box, not much clearance, kept scraping.

Yes, I'd get a custom stainless next time I need a new exhaust. I got a few quotes a while back and the cost was comparable to off the shelf products.

In this situation i always like taking the opportunity of asking them to explain their "any part for any car" slogansciroccosi wrote:I've been on the phone to euro carparts today and they've told me they don't do an exhaust for my mk2 Scirocco 1991 what year/model is yours you've ordered for cheers Simon

Re: New exhausts for Mk2
They seem to list them on there web site??
There is a couple of systems fitted to these cars so worth having a look.
I believe Mk1 Golf cabriolet uses the same system but the back box is very slightly different?
With Euro car parts it's best to order on line as they always seem to have a discount code at some point through the week and you don't seem to get the same offer if just popping in??

Or try here, I think they have free delivery with exhaust as well?
