clutch cable bulkhead problems

hi all , only noticed now reading through posts that everybody wants to weld panels in to repair clutch cables , and some have adhesive ally repair patches , seeing as vw south africa sold the mk1 up to 2009 they came up with this setup which solved the problem ,
some pics of the 2009 model
kit includes the bracket , clutch cable ( 020 type boxes ) and linkage back to the pedal. this will fit mk1 and mk2 sciroccos , golf or jetta
the pedal action is a lot better as the cable runs adjacent to the bulkhead and does not have to bend all over to get around the back off the motor and changing the cable does not entail crawling under the dash , guaranteed not to to give problems again , complete kit is around 40 pounds excl postage

the linkage to the pedal is not shown but will post pic when i pick up tommorow

A comment from the Grotto-
Thats very interesting, have not seen that before and would like to investigate.
My question would be about room to fit behind inlet manifold as the later SA Golfs had Polo engines.

the last ( 2009 ) golfs have the same block , head and braking assembly from the normally aspirated golfs from the 80's , all vdub sa did was fit the dash / ecu / inlet manifold from the later polo ( injectors in the inlet manifold as compared to the head on the k jet system ), hence the airbox on the right , the fuse box also moved over to the right , the bracket only protrudes into the engine bay around 60mm a lot less than the bending radius of the old cable setup through the bulkhead , and we have had allsorts of motors in golfs / jettas down to turning them longwise and making 4 wheel drive

Wow this looks great. Do you think your supplier could do a similar kit for the SA version of the brake cross-linkage bar? It's a cantilever twist bar rather than the early push-pull pivot type to transmit pedal force to the brake servo
