Could this carb be fitted to the Mk2?

would like to say yes depending on if you can get a manifold adapter.
i want to retro fit a IDF carb set up on a custom manifold so each trumpet deals with 2 cylinders.
makes sense to me as a cheap upgrade.(thats not been done before)

I tried it on the other half's 1.6gt. Absolute pig to get it running properly. Couldn't find anyone that had done this so had no idea where to start with jets other than those for a 1.6 ford engine. Wouldnt idle consistantly and had a massive flat spot above 4000rpm, eventually gave up and fitted a dmtl.
I'm sure with a big enough selection of jets and a lot of trial and error it could be made to work quite well but I just didn't have the patience.
