Just fitted some on all fours but not ran them yet, once I pass my m.o.t tomorrow I'll see how they are. One pair were Cf1s and the other Cf2s. Dumb question but is the country of origin on the tyrewall?

I have Toyo Proxes 4 fitted to my GT2, were fitted last April and are great. Good wet weather grip and awesome in dry. Got mine from EARS Motorsport at Macclesfield (through e bay) @ £169.99 for 4, balanced. Tyres are 195-45-16.
T1-R were not much dearer though.

The words "made in malaysia" or "made in japan" might give you a hint

No mention of "made in malaysia" or "made in japan" on side wall at all.

It will be on the sidewall, near the model number. Small writing though

Yeah mines are made in Japan, only ran them in for 10 miles yet. First thoughts are they have better grip in the wet and a bit quieter than my old pirellis. They were only £37 a tyre so seem good value for the money
