New Television Advert

Has anyone seen the new VW advert on TV?
Welcome coverage makes a change. Clearly, VW are trying to evoke in peoples' memories a time when, arguably, they made better cars than they do nowadays - might help them overcome their current woes?
Not sure that the young lad driving it back in the day as his first car could have afforded the insurance!?!?

I don't know, insurance wasn't quite such a rip-off for young people in the '80s. The ambulance chasers hadn't arrived.

I saw this last night, was quite a surprise to see the Scirocco. There was much pointing and shouting at the television

Glad that VW put a mk2 Scirocco in this commercial
... I wish VW would make an advertisement in USA like this one

Cool commercial! Thanks for posting.
We did that same middle of the night run to hospital in my Mk2 Golf GT. My wife reminds me I may have been somewhat concerned about the seats in the VW at the time...
As much as I like the Corrado, I'm really glad to see they picked a Mk2 Scirocco instead!
