I have an 89 Scirocco MK2 and I have just replaced a crap wood rimmed steering wheel with an original from 1989. Since I've done so the horn continually sounds. I have cleaned all the contacts, and checked them under the push buttons to make sure they are not in contact but to no avail.
Can anyone shed any light, could it be the relay that's at fault?

Re: Horn continually sounding
Check the foam padding on the back of the horn push, it keeps the contacts apart. If the foam has broken down it lets the contacts meet all the time.
And hello.

Re: Horn continually sounding
Have you got 2 wires which attach to the steering wheel?
Does the horn still sound when they are apart and it should sound when you touch the 2 wires together.
