Headlights - convert to single light

Hi all,

I'm looking to covert from twin lights to singles, I'm just wondering how people have gotten around the full beam lights being removed?

Is this an MOT fail?

Thinking I could drill into the side of the headlight and fix the main beam bulb into the side, but not sure if this would give the beam an odd pattern and be a fail anyway!

Thanks

You should find the outer lights do dipped and full beam.

Ahh fantastic! I noticed the inner ones came on with full beam but didn't realise the outer ones got brighter too (it was during the daytime)

That makes life somewhat easier!

Thanks

No problem. Poverty-spec (e.g. CL) early cars didn't have any inner lights. Initially the inners were fog lamps, then those were moved under the bumper and replaced with extra spotlights/driving lights.
