Hi all iv just go hold off a sirocco GT X 1986,and today iv got her home,iv just had a good look round her, and she seem to be OK under the body and a round archers,she got some rust spot round it, and bonnet need sorting as well, some of the seal need changing,as boot lid lock seal is gone,so must be letting water in,there water on passenger said at back as well,seal on sun roof gone,but it all works and no rust there,tommrow i give her good clean, we see what seal are linking,in said she look OK one seat look like need a new cover on the said,but other then a good clean up,i then well be taking a shopping list of bits i am going to need,the engine sound very nice ;-) ,anyway here some pictures of me new sirocco GT X,and i am looking forward to getting the work on the go,

You did well bringing that back from Manc-land. Boot lock seal here -

and I think Joost can get hold of the original seals for the rear lights.

she seem to be a nice car just need a bit of TLC and paint work sorting out,i am about to take the seat out and get a good look around her,and air it out as it smell a bit mildew :-o maybe needing a new seat on the driver said,or if can get hold of the cover for it mite work, ;-)

OK guys iv know had a good look round her,and taking most of the in said out to air the seat and dry the carpet as they was wet, and removed the body kit,To reveal any rust hiding away and this what i found.both rear side need some fabricate work need doing, so look like i have to get a mobile welder out as i can not do this work,but other then that the car good,in said good too, just need a good clean,i do need to sort driver seat cover out too,i be doing all the brakes after Christmas,and over Christmas be writing my wont list of bits and bobs ;-)

OK just some new updates on me GTX,
over the christmas i pick up some off cut, off a doner sirocco,then i had to fine a mobile welder to come out too do the job, i found a guy on Facebook Stella i like hes work,so today he come and done the work,

OK all i thought i update my thread on me arches which are ready for the paint shop know,me next job is to fit me new brakes on the back,just need to get the bearing push in the drums,i think my Exhaust is stainless steel which is nice to see,anyway here some pics,

ok just i thought i update what iv been doing to my sunroof,as i need to replace the seal as it was gone,and i thought i mite as well replace the sunroof lining as it seen better day,so iv strip out all the sunroof,and give a clean up,iv strip the lining off,i order some 3mm scrim foam backed faux suede car trim,just need a meter of it,as i use the other bit for me other car roof lining,anyway here some pictures of it after iv had fished it,the 3mm just right 2mm be OK too,i use my old cover as a template made the job easier :?
