can anyone tell me which master cylinder i should use now i have converted my rear drums to disks?
i still have a stock servo and master cylinder and was wondering if theres a bigger master cylinder out there that will fit a stock servo.

i still have the stock mk3 gti servo and master cylinder but the master cylinder wont fit the rocco servo,
and the mk3 gti servo doesnt have the threaded part to screw on the clevis pin bit to properly connect to the rocco.
would a new 16v scirocco master cylinder work?

cheers mark.
only thing im worried about in changing the servo for the larger 16v one is its very close to the abf lump im using, so in using the origenal one it will give me more clearance.
i wonder if the 16v master cylinder will fit the standard servo.

here are the two master cylinders i have at the moment.
the one on the right is the standard rocco one
the one on the left is the mk3 golf gti one and as you can see the lengths are quite different.

other forums have suggested cutting up servo ends to butcher the clevis thing on which im not prepared to do.
the mk2 golf servo and master cylinder does seem the way to go but looking at the back of the servo it looks like it sits farther back which i think would cause brake drag.
i know this could be adjusted out using the cross linkage but i really dont want to mess with the brakes that much as it could be deadly if i mess it up.
is it possible to stick with the origenal master cylinder or will it not produce enough fluid flow to make the rears work?
i dont want the brake pedal touching the floor to make the brakes work if you know what i mean.

I'm using the 16v master and servo with the abf, no issues. If anything it's a better fit regarding the cap n leads.

looks like im gonna have to hunt down a mk2 servo.

i still have the abf servo but it has the ball instead of a thread for the clevis to fit too.
i have seen pictures online where people cut a thread onto it but it doesnt look very safe?
i think i will follow your advice and hunt down a mk2 16v servo.

Cool.
I'm sure your look in to a ' how to install ' thread but you do have to cut the thread down on the 16v servo to the same length as the old one. Other than that pretty straight forward.
