And I can confirm that his listing contains at least one lie, as he is the second owner but hasn't registered himself as the owner - so either a trader or a chancer.

For that money I would not want that sun roof, better front and rear window plastic/chrome insert, the rear wiper in the right position and is it the picture but does the rear bumper look like its dented in the middle?

Between 2004 and 2007 it seemed to have driven in reverse for 400 miles according to the service history

It looks pretty decent to me, and it is unlikely to be repeatable, but the price is way out-there. I'd be interested to see what something like this would make at a proper classic car auction, which would give a proper idea of its "collector" value.

It looks like he's followed the valuation sheet KGF1 uses on cars for sale on RetroRides. Wildly optomistic in my opinion but good luck to him. I would be intereted to know what the car actually sells for though.

I'm confused

"....THE BEST UNRESTORED MK1 UK RHD SCIROCCO MK1 GTI LEFT ON UK ROADS !!"

yet

"..THE PAINTWORK WAS SUBJECT TO A FULL BARE METAL RECOMMISIONING ..."

When did a full bare metal re-paint become a recommision not a restoration...

I think there must be something in the Surrey/Hants water, though it makes this 12k GLS look almost good value...

I saw the 4star car earlier today. They are notorious for overpricing their cars usually because they add a lot of value but sometimes its evident they havnt.

They sell a lot of E24s hence why the observations have been made on the bigcoupe forum over the past 5+ years.

This car in the link below seems incredibly good value by comparison. I saw it on the street one day when I lived in London a couple of years ago and it looks like it's just come out of the showroom. Immaculate and totally standard. He could probably get away with adding another two or three grand...

Funnily enough I was thinking about it the other day. The poor guy Roger had it stolen literally two days after buying it from me, and the day before it was due to go into the body shop. Never heard anything else about it.Long gone now I'm sure. Great car too. Awful bodywork, but went like a train, and rare too.

Now reduced to £16250
Seems a lot of "anger" in his latest advert?
