For anyone who has some time to kill and likes looking at photos of old racing cars, maybe this will entertain you for a few minutes. Just got my photos back from my trip to the Revival in September. All taken on a period-correct (i.e. up to 1966) Pentax Spotmatic, fully manual, 35mm film camera. Some black and white, some colour - I chose Kodak ColorPlus for those because it has slightly naff colour rendition which is more authentic for the '60s. Expertly processed and scanned by the good people at Palm Labs in Digbeth, Birmingham.

At my local processor I was told would I mind waiting a week or two for my photos or were they urgent. I had no problem waiting but asked why the delay. I was told that nobody uses film anymore Phil so hopefully somebody may drop something in as the chemicals for one film do not make the process profitable. Great to see someone else using 35mm film. The results and quality speak for themselves and a great choice of shutter speed on your moving shots. In the words of Smashy, NICE!

Yes, I'm afraid film photography is a specialist activity these days. Pro labs like the one I use (by post) are best if quality matters. I wish I had more time/opportunity to practice, so that there were more "hits" and fewer "misses" in what comes back!
