Much regretted sale of my Scirocco Scala which I have pampered for the past 9years and has been without a doubt the best car I have ever owned. I unfortunately find myself however requiring a more practical second car with 5 doors so either this or the bug has to go.
This is the last of the fuel injected Sciroccos which are getting very hard to find in original unmolested condition such as this and not lowered with a big exhaust etc. Very rare also to find an original N.Ireland registered example, still retaining the original Agnews of Mallusk window sticker and registration plate. I had the original scala alloys refurbed a few years ago along with a spare 5th alloy and the inserts painted in the correct metallic grey.
132000 miles but this car has been meticulously maintained with no expense spared since new by myself and its 2 previous keepers always using either genuine VW or best quality parts. Stamped VW service book (Isaac Agnews) up to approx 90k miles and then largely maintained by VW specialists since. This is therefore the tightest and nicest driving Scirocco I've ever pilotted. Still a very quick car even by todays standards and good on fuel along with it giving 40mpg on a run. The original tartan interior is near pristine, not showing any sign of bolster wear that most of these cars suffer from. A lot of forum members would know the car from shows and meets.
MOT'd until April 2016 it has recently had a brand new genuine VW filler neck (at great expense), Varta battery, water pump, full coolant flush, timing belt and tensioner (genuine VW).It has covered very little miles since cold start valve (genuine) all wheel bearings, brake pads, shoes and wheel cylinders have been replaced. Fuel pump housing and anti roll bar clamps have also been replaced with stainless steel items. Any of the common scirocco issues have been sorted.
This wee car needs to be preserved and shown by an enthusiast. It is fantastic looking and always gets complemented. Above pic is very flattering as it could however do with a few areas of paintwork being attended to to leave perfect.
I'm still very torn about doing this, but with winter approaching it needs to be put away and looked after and I need a daily.
Please note car is in Belfast and I would prefer that it stayed over here as not many original examples left but thought it would do no harm to advertise here. Really breaking my heart to do this
Just ask for any more details
Will add pics later as laptop having issues with photobucket
