If its a Jan 75 it would have been built late'74 as I think thats the later Tartan, "I'll have to take a loook in me boook" I dont think early early cars red tartan had the yellow stripe in it, cant tell from mine as its had black GLS trim fitted at some point during its life

Wondered if you guys had seen it, my mate saw it on Club GTi forum.
I am the same as you guys would swap my whole collection for it, what an amazing car, especially with the NI reg on it. It must be worth £10k surely?
Isn't it sad that there are so few of them left with the tartan trim its beautiful. (or else I'm sad) I had a crashed TS which I bought just to save the steering wheel and back seats which were yellow tartan, they were passed on to a register member, but it just looks class!
Makes me think about my GTi which still has the NI reg, pity its so rotten! Any of you guys got a rust free shell per chance!

thought you'd sold it Rea?
There was a mint shell on Pistonheads recently, belonged to a Reigster member.
i actually will fully admit that i was fantasising the other day about buying your GTI and restoring it, especially with that reg.
(i should point out that i am totally broke)
Mars red mmmmmmm
