scala 89 1.9i
When i start the car from cold the revs are erratic like it is struggling then it settles, if i rev it when i stop it bottoms out and almost stalls (some times does) This is causing problems changing gear also. Its getting worse and happening more and more not only when cold but rarely stalls when warm but trys sometimes.
Im guessing at ingition system/electrical, but i dont know how to test the seperate bits and what to test as im learning while go.
Ive checked the battery and the charge is good, so what does that leave,
1)Spark plug
2)Spark plug cables (check by looking and make sure not burnt or damaged ?)
3)Dizzy (just check cap for burns and damage ?)
4)ignition coil
5)Module whatsit
6)Timing ?
How can i check this things and what else should i check ?

Thanks

Re: Need some help with warm up problems
I've had a similar problem last few days, but it's been persisting down with rain and I think everything may have got a bit 'damp'.
Try some Dampstart, I know it looks crap when it dries, but it works for me.
Have the same problem with the wife's P*l*.
..also check the wiring to the cold air start valve (assuming it's injection).
:(
Hope this helps
