Does anyone use their Scirocco for carrying bikes? I need to carry 2 bikes and they won't fit in the boot even with the seats down. Anyone have any recommendations for any suitable racks for the rear hatch. Thank you :)

if you have a tow bar halfords do a mountable carrier that works quite well

N.B. if you don't have a tow-bar, I have one I'm looking to be rid of.

Hadn't really thought about a tow bar but looks like it's probably the best option. Any idea how easy they are to fit?

I have... Used a universal one... Worked well carrying my bike and my mates heavyweight steel leviathan bike, one thing I will say is I didn't go that far (I was taking the car about 15 mins into town to drop it off for some work done, figured we'd have a little 'ride' home)

The main problem is the lights are obscured as is the reg plate, so technically plod could take offence and pull you... See for yourself (just has my bike on in this pic)

Sure you'll agree there's not much room to have one on... And they do over hang to each side a bit... But other than my lights and reg plate it worked ok, better maybe if I took a wheel off, but if you've got a tow bar with light hook up you'll probably be ok

if you meant how hard is it to fit the tow bar, it literally takes half an hour if your ok with 4 bolts and 7 wires to connect.
i bought mine from edmundator years ago and has been the best investment yet.
