Just a warning to folks out there, if buying one of those kits off ebay etc, be mindful that the parts you receive are not of the quality that were originally in the carb, I recently bought a kit and after fitting caused more harm than good, for instance, the accelerator diaphragm was paper thin and split causing a fuel leak and im sure the float needle is causing some flooding too due to the smell of petrol (and its been known to!)

not to mention the nylon bushings they give you for the throttle shaft suck too.
a handy trick around this is to use orings and a washer to hold them against the carb housing, this will fix free play in the throttle shaft and air leaks.

Where is best to get these from and is it a diy jobby?

If I had to do it again or if I need any parts for it in the future, I'll be going straight to webcon GT_Lyons, I suggest you and everyone else, do the same fella. Everything ive had from there seems to be of good quality.

if it works leave it alone, if you need to rebuild it its either leaking or somethings broken.
otherwise i wouldnt bother.
most issues with this carb is bad setup or crap in the carb, so reduilding rarely fixes it unless you inadvertantly remove dirt and then go on to set it up again properly because you rebuilt it.
