HOW MANY X REG 1982 AUTOMATICS OUT THERE?

HELLO FOLKS,

I OWN AN X REG 1981- 2 1600 CC (CARB.) AUTOMATIC MK2 SCIROCCO - JUST WONDERED HOW MANY WERE BUILT AND HOW MANY ARE ACTUALLY STILL AROUND?

Hi there, welcome.

Autos seem to crop up more frequently than you'd imagine given that the Scirocco is a sports coupe. I suspect that the reason so many, particularly early non-bodykit mk.2 autos, have survived is that the owners of those ones tended to be older people who hung onto them for ages and really looked after them.

I THINK THAT YOU ARE CORRECT! THE ONLY PERSON TO HAVE OWNEDTHIS BEFORE MY DAD WAS A LADY OWNER, MY DAD LIKED AUTOS BECAUSE HE HAD A BAD LEG (POST OPERATIONAL THROMBOSIS!)

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW FACTORY FIGURES, THANKS FOR GETTING BACK TO US, WILL TRY TO SORT OUT SOME PHOTOS AS SOON AS CAN BE!!

I'm afraid you will be struggling for factory figures as the only figures they give are total sales.
