Need some help please? rear screen wash jet - mk2

Not sure where was the best place to ask this.

I want to fit a new pipe on my rear washer jet but how the hell do you get the washer unit out? I don't want to force it too much in case I break it.

Looking at this it should just pop out with some gentle persuasion - http://www.partsbase.org/vw/scirocco-sc ... ar-window/
Maybe only accessible with pillar/roof liner removed or pulled back.

I think you just need to wrap the end of a flat screwdriver in something soft and relatively thin (like an old pillowcase) and lever it out.

The jet has 2 locking tabs inside the pillar and are a bit of a pig to get out without damaging one or both. If you do it won't sit flat against the body. Also if you do damage it and get a new one there are 2 different height jets, one for cars with the big rear spoiler and one for cars without.

The pump just pulls out of the bottle, can be a little tight though.

Thank you very much guys, managed it with a selection of screwdrivers, gaffa tape and a bit of patience!

Just for future reference for someone attempting this...

And it went back in fine too
