North Wales road run the evidence :)
The weather was kind to us. A great day, best run best attendance ever. Good to finally meet Matt (little bro) as well.
A big thank you to Peter Evans of Regent Garage, Criccieth for his invite, and refreshments. He had his MK1 GLI out for us. I have posted photo's of it on here about two years ago. Regent Garage is still a family run VW dealer who are enthusiasts. We have Alwen to thank, for organising that bit of the tour.
It was great to see Alwen out in her storm, after her recent health problems. and thanks to her uncle for being her chauffeur
Enjoy the photo's

What can I say? - What a great weekend - didn't start brilliantly as Mrs S couldn't make it - and the journey there was hell! Having said this - it was well-worth it, for a fab weekend. Thanks to our great hosts - Lynda and H - amazing sights, brilliant roads, superb Scirocco Talk, but most of all excellent company! This was my second time on the run, I advise anyone who gets the chance (or is invited) to do this run, to seize it with both hands - it will be a weekend to remember. The Mk 1 never really missed a beat - even in the traffic-jam and the heat - the Snowdonia return extended the trip, but the extra miles were well worth it! (400 miles!!)
Thanks again all who made it - especially Auntie Pat & Alwen, had a great time and looking forward to the next !!
Shiny orange bling - my Mk 1, but made it there - and back! Not bad for a 39 year old!

For the nth year running, disappointed I didn't manage to get to this again. Unfortunately mother-in-law's 70th birthday took precedence. Exactly the kind of things a club ought to be doing. One year I'll make it!

Very Good to see 6 Sciroccos meet up for a road run
If my mk1 Storm were still in Wales, I would made the drive up north from South Wales, even though it is a 4 hour drive
