GTI Spring Festival Santa Pod

Forecast was for sunnier weather at the Pod than in Coventry, so I escaped the former in search of excitement with my Mk1 Rocco at the latter location.

Lo and behold, initially I was the only Rocco, then 2 more turn up, one even parkling right next to me 8-) Tried to talk the owner out of exchanging his Mk2 Rocco against an old Beetle :P

Then I spotted a fourth Rocco in the car park.

Trends this year? Full beard of the ginger type, airride (still), Mercedes alloys (Bentley alloys still allowed, mainly on big new Audis, probably purchased on finance), "Like Hell" stickers ("Rotiform" and "Detailed" stickers are so yesterday now :P ).

A thoroughly enjoyable day catching up with Neil and Chris from Autometrix, too.

Good pictures, even got one of my rocco. Didn't see anyone by the others ones each time I walked past.

What engine is in your mk1?
