Scirocco Register

Been looking through my box of VW bits and bobs and came across a bonnet stay clip that made me think "Hmm, maybe that could be adapted for the parcel shelf". Then I got thinking about some of the fir tree clips we used at work. So a quick look online and I came across these.

They are cheap enough so could be worth a try even if they need a little trimming down. Maybe somebody has tried them already.

Just in case anybody thinks of ordering some of these from a Land Rover dealer, don't use the part number in the link. I did, and it's wrong. The number is for this kind of clip.


I will contact the seller in the link and get more info and see if the pic is correct. I have my doubts because look at the dimensions that they list compared to the photo. Not very professional.

Had a think about these over the weekend and tried two of these I had in my toolbox, after cutting a bit off the height and making the hole bigger so I can use a bolt and nut, fit a treat!

They might be a bit big to fit through the hole to be honest, that image I posted is just for reference, you can probably get them smaller in height and probably the exact same size as the bar, just plumbers pipe clips, drill the hole a bit larger, put a small bolt through and put a nut on the end, worked for me!
