I've got a set of Pole Position's I want to fit into a MK2, I have the seats and the Recaro side mounts.
What is the deal with the subframes? Do Recaro make a direct fit adjustable subframe? Or is it going to be a custom thing?

Going to be custom. If they're side mounted the usual way is to weld in a couple of cross bars - see post no.66 on this page

Re: Recaro Pole Positions in MK2
mr brown to the rescue again !
Hmm, is there anything that would let me slide forwards and backwards as obviously these are fixed back so no adjustments on the seat its self..
Thanks !

Re: Recaro Pole Positions in MK2
Again, it's a question of customising. Every seat manufacturer makes a sliding subframe - basically a pair of runners and a handle to link the two. You bolt the lower side of the runner to the fixed subframe and the upper side to the seat (or in your case the side mounts).

Re: Recaro Pole Positions in MK2
Thanks, so next question, did they ever make scirocco subframes or was it just a case of use the MK1's instead?

Re: Recaro Pole Positions in MK2
I think that anyone who ever sold Scirocco subframes were just repackaging mk1 Golf subframes. The problem is that the mk1 Golf ones are too high - add on the extra height of the slider and side mounts and your head will be jammed into the roof.
Re: Recaro Pole Positions in MK2
VW did an option for electrically operated Recaro seats for the Mark 2, but I do not think the subframes are still available.
Konig purportedly do a Scirocco specific subframe.
